Part 2: Safe Harbour

Last week I post abt going thru blow-by-blow of our trip up to Kedah......here's summore installation.....

10th Dec (Sunday) - Our day or rather my day started at around 8+ on a Sunday morning to Kak Es' laughters. Dunno wat it is that she and the grannies were talking about but they were all giggling like school girls.

I went next door and the moment they saw me, Abg H said, "Eh, abg n Mak n wak Iti n kak Es going to the nearby Giant hypermarket, nak ikut? Kalau nak gi siap2 sekarang" So i juz nod my head, go back to my room, enter the bathroom, washed my face, clean it first with the cleanser of cuz and then brushed my teeth. Changed into my yesterday's cloths and join them in the car.

We go around looking for at fresh fruits and chocolates and other tidbits for the grannies. The fresh fruits are for the hantaran. After the hypermarket, we go look for breakfast.....roti canai and nasi lemak. Of cuz food there are so cheap.....in malaysia u will never be hungary, there's food everywhere you turn. Sedap dgn tak sedap ajer.

We headed back to the guest house loaded with food and more food.....and we juz hang around doing nothing till the appointed time when we suppose to berarak ke rumah pengantin pompuan. Well, luckily I checked out the time, cuz we are suppose to be at the bride's place around 1330, but at 1315 we are still at home and still lazing around. Belum satu pun yg siap, including the groom. They don't keep track of the time and still thought its still early to get ready. Well when I mentioned the time, semua lintang pukang siap-siap........it is so funny!!!

We reached the bride's house at exactly 14:00 and becuz there's no kompang, so the berarak is a quiet affair. Bride and groom wore red songket and later in the day they gonna change to a lime green songket.....mcm panas gitu........ we take lots of photos, esp the girls, they stayed inside the bilik pengantin and strike up so many posts for the camera that I get confuse as to which one is the bride and which one is the penyebuk........LOL
